Halloween Forecast: Will It Rain In Farmington Hills?

Trick-or-treating will happen Sunday night. Will the weather be scary bad for the holiday?

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Halloween is just a few days away and it looks like the holiday will be a pleasant one.

Current forecasts predict a high of 59 degrees on Sunday, with a low of 40 overnight. Farmington and Farmington Hills residents are not expected to see any rain on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

However, the rest of Halloween weekend will be rainy. There's a 90-percent chance of rain on Friday and a 30-percent chance of showers on Saturday. Temperatures won't escape the 50s and could dip into the mid- to low-40s overnight.

  • Never drive drunk. Get a designated driver or plan to pay for a ride home.
  • If you are driving, go slowly through neighborhoods. Kids will be active and can sometimes dart into the street unexpectedly.
  • If you're going trick-or-treating make sure you decorate costumes or candy bags with reflective strips and brightly-colored clothing to alert drivers at night.
  • Parents or guardians should carry a flashlight.
  • Use sidewalks whenever possible.
