Internet Date Steals Dog, Farmington Hills Woman Tells Police

A Farmington Hills woman told police Tuesday that she believes a man she met on an Internet dating site stole her dog.
According to a report filed with Farmington Hills Police, the 26-year-old woman met the 25-year-old man about two weeks ago, and they began "hanging out". She told police they were together at her house Monday night, and she fell asleep. The sound of a slamming door woke her at around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, and she noticed both the dog and her Internet date were missing, the report indicated.
The woman told police she did not know exactly where the man lives. Livonia and Farmington Hills police spoke with the man's father, who also did not know his son's exact address.
