Leaping Lizards! Warner Middle School presents Annie Jr.
Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills is presenting a musical theatre production of Annie Jr., featuring 40 talented students.

Warner Middle School students will present an adaption of one of America’s most beloved musicals, which features hit songs “Tomorrow,” “Easy Street,” and “Hard Knock Life.” Set in New York during the Great Depression, the story revolves around everyone’s favorite red-headed orphan Annie.
During the 2016-17 school year, Warner transitioned from an upper elementary to a middle school, and this will be their first musical production on their new stage. The production will star sixth-grader Marnie Jacobs in the titular role. The cast also includes: Michael Soverinsky as Daddy Warbucks, Hannah Weinraub as Grace Farrell, Maryanna Lauter as Miss Hannigan, Ben Rakolta as Rooster, and Leah McFadden as Lilly St. Regis.
The musical is based on the Little Orphan Annie comic strip and features a book and score by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin. Annie Jr. is directed by Theatre Arts teacher Laura Rea, with vocal direction by Brenda Gold-Sloan, and choreography by Anna Cooke.
