Jehovah's Witnesses Announce Convention Series

BELLEVILLE, MI - Jehovah's Witnesses throughout the world will convene at various locations this year to attend a three-day convention series entitled "Love Never Fails" As indicated by the theme, the program will highlight ways to demonstrate love to God and to our neighbors. Locally, some of these conventions will be held at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Belleville, Michigan.
Among those in attendance will be Ron Kirsch and his family. They particularly appreciate the Bible-based discourses that are presented at gatherings such as this one, because, they say, the type of love explained in this year’s theme has helped save their family.
In 1990, Ronald Kirsch married his wife Nancy, and a year later, he was deployed in the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, back home, Nancy began to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses – a decision Ron did not like one bit.

When his military service ended in 1993 and Ron returned home, he found himself drinking heavily on a daily basis, smoking and using drugs. He says: “I used my wife's religion against her as an excuse to continue my lifestyle. My wife and I spent no time together.” In time, the couple had two children. When asked to describe their family life, Ron recalls: “Emotionally, I was disconnected from the family. Our marriage and family was in turmoil due to my behavior.”
By 2014, he felt his marriage had come to a fork in the road; things could not go on the way they had. So he decided to start studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and made a concerted effort to stop smoking and drinking heavily. With earnest prayer to God and support from family and friends, Ron made decisive changes to better fulfill his role as a husband and father.

How does he feel about his life today? “My life and marriage are so much better now,” says Ron. “I feel that God answered my prayers; to have my family back together, united. Life is so much easier now. By putting my trust in God, my prayers were answered. This is the best way of life."
Jehovah's Witnesses encourage all in the community to benefit the way Ron did from consideration of Bible principles, and to attend the "Love Never Fails" conventions that will be held at the Belleville Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 43777 Ecorse Road, Belleville, Michigan. The conventions will began in May 2019 and will span several weekends through August 2019. Sessions begin daily at 9:20 a.m. Friday-Sunday. Admission is free and no collections are taken.
