Man Tries To Steal Running Truck At Farmington Hills Gas Station: Cops
The man tried to steal the truck after the vehicle was left running and unattended for in the gas station's parking lot, police said.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Police said they are looking for a man who tried to steal a truck from a Farmington Hills gas station on Friday.
Police said the truck's owner left the engine running when the owner entered the Shell Gas Station, located on Grand River Avenue near Haggerty Road at 1:20 p.m.
That's when police said a man got into the truck and tried to drive off. However, when the truck's owner quickly approached the man, the attempted thief ran away, police said. He was last seen running on foot in the area of Interstate 275 and Grand River Avenue.

Police described the attempted thief as a white man with possible neck tattoos and a possible altered eye color. He may also have a tattoo on his left hand, police said.
Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King reminded people the best way to prevent these types of incidents is to lock their vehicles and not leave them running while away.
