The business hosts a celebration May 16 with appetizers, spirits and giveaways.

Painting with a Twist reaches a "huge milestone" May 16, with an event celebrating the business' first anniversary in downtown Farmington.

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the past year," owner Michelle Lewis said. "This community is so vibrant, and it’s done nothing but embraced us from the second we opened our doors.”

Guest will enjoy light appetizers and spirits starting at 6:30 p.m., as well as giveaways during a 7 p.m. class and a free t-shirt for all painters.

Painting with a Twist™ offers daily classes, available in two- and three-hour sessions, that give veteran and novice painters alike the ability to recreate an original piece done by a local artist, or occasionally, a piece by a famous artist. The studio is equipped with all the essentials for creating a work of art; attendees are invited to put their own “twist” on the experience by bringing along their favorite wine for the evening.

“I’m hoping this coming year can be as great as the last,” Lewis said. “We’ve had so much positive feedback from everyone that walks through the door. I feel like we’ve really found a home here in Farmington.”
