Police Ask Public's Help to Find Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run
Victim died of injuries Thursday at Beaumont Hospital – Farmington Hills.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – The victim in an April 23 hit-and-run accident in Farmington Hills died Thursday, and prosecutors have issued two-count warrant charging the man they think is responsible with felony and misdemeanor charges.
Romonia Edwards, 22, of Detroit, died of her injuries at Beaumont Hospital-Farmington Hills, the Farmington Hills Police Department said in a statement.

On Wednesday, the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office issued a two count warrant for Terrel Dewhite Johnson, 24, of Romulus, and are seeking the public’s help in locating him.
The charges against Johnson are:

- Failure to stop at scene of accident resulting in serious impairment or death, a felony with a possible penalty of five years and a $5,000 fine; and
- Operating – license suspended, revoked, denied/allowing suspended person to operate –second or subsequent offense notice, a misdemeanor with a possible penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Farmington Hills Police Department Command Desk at (248) 871-2610 with any information. Johnson is 6 feet tall, weighs 150 pounds, has brown hair and eyes, and is known to frequent the southwest area of Detroit, police said.
The suspect was driving a newer model red or maroon Chrysler Town and Country that continued eastbound on Grand River Avenue after striking Edwards, police said. The vehicle didn’t have a metal registration plate and had a temporary registration plate in the back window.
