Project Healthy Living to Offer Health Screenings in Farmington Hills

Blood tests, hearing, vision and other screenings will be available at the March 30 event.

Project Healthy Living, the annual health screening event hosted by the Farmington Area Commission on Aging, the Senior Division, and , will be held on Friday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the  in Farmington Hills.

Participants can help to prevent serious illness with a range of tests, from blood pressure to a 26-profile blood panel to a variety of stroke screenings with this “one-stop-shopping” opportunity for counseling and referrals with health professionals. Available screenings include hearing, vision, height, and weight, as well as more specialized tests such as C-Reactive Protein, CA-125 for women and PSA for men. New offerings include tests for Vitamin D, Hepatitis B, Hemoglobin A1C, Herpes 1 and 2, and Glycomark.

Pre-registration is available at projecthealthyliving.net and is recommended for participants ordering blood work. Walk-ins are also welcome, but subject to availability. The 26-profile blood panel requires a four-hour fast.

The Project Healthy Living hotline at 313-531-9108 is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning March 6. Project Healthy Living is open to anyone 18 years or older. Transportation may be available to Farmington/Farmington Hills residents, 55 or older or handicapped, by calling 248-473-1864 at least 48 hours in advance.
