Rock & Soul Fills The Park With Music

Thursdays at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills bring free outdoor concerts that delight all ages.

Local favorite rock and R&B group Rock & Soul performed Thursday evening at the amphitheater as part of the city's Stars in the Park free summer concert series.

Presented by the Special Services Department in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, free concerts by many different artists and groups are offered at Heritage Park on Thursday evenings through August 25 (with the exception of July 14).

Vocalists and musicians Bruce Pooley and Teresa Maybury headline Rock & Soul, with Moe O'Shaughnessy on drums and Gracie Jessop on acoustic guitar and vocals.

Maybury is a local legend, and was awarded the Black Music Award for Best R&B Female Singer in 2010.

In addition to being veteran performers, Pooley and Marbury offer future rock stars stage training through their company, The Next Stage. Classes are held at the throughout the summer months.
