Second Home Invasion Reported in Farmington
Public Safety officers investigate a Wednesday break-in on Meadowlark.

Farmington Public Safety officers are investigating a home invasion that occurred Wednesday in the 32600 block of Meadowlark, in the area north of Eight Mile and east of Farmington Rd.
This is the second incident in the community over the past four days; on Monday, a homeowner on Mission Ct. reported a break-in.
Residents interested in learning more about public safety in Farmington are invited to attend a Neighborhood Watch meeting held 7 p.m. Thursday at Farmington City Hall.

In the latest incident, a resident who came home at around 5 p.m. noticed a side door ajar and immediately called police. Officers found the home had been ransacked, and cash had been taken.
A K-9 team tracked a scent to Chesley St., which is south of Meadowlark. Authorities believe the suspect parked a car on Chesley, then scaled the fence to the homeowner's backyard. The suspect or suspects entered the home through an unlocked rear patio door.
Farmington detectives are working with area departments to identify suspects in both crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Scott Brown at 248-474-5500, ext. 2246.
