Support my LLS Students of the Year Fundraising Campaign!

My name is Celene Philip and I'm a lifelong resident of Farmington Hills. Read my article to learn about my LLS fundraising campaign!

My name is Celene Philip and I am a junior in high school at the International Academy. On January 18th, I officially kicked off my fundraising campaign with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as part of their Students of the Year Program for the Michigan chapter. This is a seven week program in which high schoolers lead multi-generational teams towards raising a goal amount of money that goes completely to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS then uses 78% of this money for blood cancer research and patient and family services like co-pay assistance, transportation, and support groups. The remaining 22% goes towards adminstrative and operating costs. My campaign ends on March 10th so any support that you can contribute towards my campaign is very appreciated and tax-deductible. If you're hesitant to contribute, remember that it is not often that you see high schoolers like me taking inititave for a cause much bigger than themselves! To read more about the program and specific projects and accomplishments of LLS and also make a donation, go to this page: events.lls.org/mi/detroitsoy2018/cphilip

Thank you in advance for your support, Farmington Hills!
