The Importance of REM #sleep!

This week we will be posting about the different stages of #sleep and the reasons why each one is essential in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Why is REM #sleep so important? Well, REM sleep is the key player in learning and memory! It is the time when your brain consolidates and processes the information you learned during the day and it forms neural connections to strengthen your memory. Your body makes up deep sleep first and REM sleep second, so in order to learn properly you must get proper amount of sleep every night! You do NOT want to miss out on the REM stage!
