Think Warm! Think Founders Festival!

It seems like it's a long way off on a very frigid January day but July and the Farmington Founders Festival will be here before you know it! With our arctic January in progress, I am really looking forward to those warm July days!

Let's start with the basics.  The Farmington Founders Festival is celebrating 50 YEARS this year!  That makes us one of the oldest festivals in Michigan!  The dates for this year's festival are Friday, July 18 10am-10pm; Saturday, July 19 10am-10pm and Sunday, July 20 10am-5pm.  Yes that's three days!

In November, the Founders Festival reins transitioned from the Farmington Downtown Development Authority to the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce.  Don't worry! Mainstays such as the parade, beer tent, crafters, kids and history areas will remain on the festival itinerary.  Here's your history fact for the day - the Founders Festival was started by the Chamber of Commerce!  So in fact, on its 50th birthday, it is returning home.
