Vehicle Stolen After Mom Brings Daughter to Emergency Room

A 49-year-old Livonia woman who brought her daughter to the Botsford Hospital emergency room Monday at around 10 p.m. told police her daughter's black 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible was stolen while her daughter was being treated. According to the report, the woman parked the vehicle in the lot north of the emergency entrance and returned at 11:45 p.m. to find it missing. 

On Monday morning, a resident on Independence Drive called police to report her white 2007 Mercury Mountaineer was stolen some time between 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday. According to the report, the owner told police she was not sure if the vehicle was locked. She also noted that a prosthetic arm, used for medical training and valued at $500, was inside the vehicle. 

On Oct. 11, Serra Toyota reported a driver who signed an agreement to test drive and return a silver 2003 Pontiac Grand Am did not bring it back. According to the report, the 40-year-old Livonia man said he wanted to show the vehicle to his daughter and would return it by 8:30 p.m. The man left behind a GMC Terrain that contained nothing except three cases of Mountain Dew behind the driver's seat. 

Thefts from vehicles

An employee from Enterprise car rental called police on Monday after discovering that someone attempted to remove all four wheels from a Hyundai Sonata sometime over the weekend. According to the report, someone set the car on milk crates and removed lug nuts, but only the front driver's side wheel was taken. 

A resident on Oak Point Circle called police on Sunday morning to report that a wallet containing $110 cash and a debit card were stolen from a vehicle parked in the home's driveway. According to the report, the vehicle had been left unlocked. 

A resident on Newberry Ct. called police on Oct. 9 after finding windows broken in two vehicles that had been parked in the home's driveway. According to the report, two GPS devices were taken. 

A resident on Wertham Ct. also reported a theft from a vehicle the same morning. The report indicated that an iPod and GPS device were taken. 

Marijuana charge

A 22-year-old Farmington Hills woman faces a charge of selling marijuana, after police spotted her sitting in a vehicle at Timber Ridge and Tuck at around 4 a.m. on Monday. According to the report, the woman told police she was charging her cell phone. When the officer noticed a smell of marijuana, the woman told police that she dances at a club in Detroit where people often smoke the drug around her. The report indicated that a search of the vehicle turned up 19 baggies of marijuana, 34.7 grams, in her purse, along with "several pairs of shoes and multiple pairs of exotic underwear".
