Yesterday, we talked about REM sleep and its importance; today we are posting about deep #sleep. During deep sleep, your body repairs itself. Blood flow is directed to the muscles to build up energy. Deep sleep plays a major role in maintaining health, stimulating growth and development, repairing muscles and tissues, and boosting your immune system. Both REM and deep sleep perform critical functions and you need to get the right amount of sleep to receive the benefits from each!
