• US-23 Fenton Rest Area Closing For Maintenance & Improvements (whmi.com) — Drivers who rely on the US‑23 Fenton Rest Area should plan ahead, as MDOT will fully close the northbound facility starting Monday, September 21 for a major water system upgrade lasting until late November. The $409,000 project will connect the rest area to Fenton Township's municipal water line along Lahring Road, aiming to end the frequent water-related shutdowns that have frustrated travelers for years.
