• Ferndale Fire Station Hosting Open House Oct. 3 (oaklandcounty115.com) — Ferndale residents are invited to a free Fire Station Open House at Station 2 on East Nine Mile on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 4–6 p.m., featuring live safety demos and CPR education. Families can tour the station, meet local firefighters, practice with a virtual fire extinguisher, and safely recycle old batteries with SOCRRA just ahead of Fire Prevention Week.
