Police find suspect vehicle from Flint hit-and-run crash in Saginaw County (mlive.com) — Flint police have located and impounded the Corvette suspected in the Aug. 9 hit-and-run that critically injured 18-year-old Musa Coulibaly on James P. Cole Boulevard. Detectives are still seeking tips, including any video, and urge residents to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously to help identify those responsible.
   

2. Flint City Church Bus Crashes on Way to Sunday Service (wcrz.com) — Flint City Church's bus was hit and flipped onto its side on the way to Sunday service, leaving the congregation asking for prayers while officials investigate what happened. The crash follows a difficult year for Genesee County churches, including past attacks on St. Mark Baptist Church in Flint and a Grand Blanc Township congregation, heightening concern and solidarity among local faith communities.
   

3. Deadly Sunday Morning Crash Kills Flint Man, Injures Infant (wcrz.com) — A Flint man was killed and an infant injured in a late-night crash at Dupont Street and West Stewart Avenue in Flint, with police probing whether speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role. Officers say the other driver, a woman, is in critical condition, and they're urging anyone with information to contact Flint police or Crime Stoppers of Flint.
   

4. Pets of the week: Dog's journey out of abusive situation. And one gorgeous cat. (mlive.com) — Genesee County Animal Care in Flint Township is spotlighting Patty, a resilient dog recovering from past abuse, and Vera, a friendly cat who prefers a calm, dog-free home. Both are available for adoption with low fees, no advance application, and walk-in hours, giving Flint-area residents an easy way to welcome a new pet.
   

5. Bay City Central players sense an opportunity to make an impact on proud program (mlive.com) — Bay City Central's football team is gearing up for a fresh start under new head coach Marc Jarstfer, and their first test comes Thursday against Flint Carman-Ainsworth at Elmer Engel Stadium. Players say they've embraced a culture of accountability, competition, and high-energy practices as they try to rebuild a once-proud program and lay the foundation for future success.
