• Daily News seeks nominations for 2026 Citizen of the Year (ourmidland.com) — Residents of Freeland are invited to nominate neighbors whose volunteer work has made a real difference in the community for the Midland Daily News 2026 Citizen of the Year award. Nominations, which should detail specific acts of service and impact, are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and can be submitted online, by email, or by mail.
