• Michigan State Police probe Otsego County officer involved shooting (upnorthlive.com) — A 29-year-old Gaylord man was fatally shot by an Otsego County sheriff's deputy after a two-hour overnight vehicle pursuit that began when Michigan State Police tried stopping him on South Otsego Avenue near Seventh Street in Gaylord. The chase ended after a crash near Sparr and Wilkinson Road, and state police from the Gaylord Post are now handling an active investigation, with details about the initial stop and whether the man was armed still withheld for prosecutor review.
