  1. The American Cancer Society granted the Spectrum Health Foundation $25,000 to make care access easier for cancer patients. The money will cover lodging costs for patients who have to travel to Grand Rapids for care. The grant should benefit around 350 patients. (Fox17)
  2. This week, a Grand Rapids man pled guilty to shooing a member of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. Jaquari Trotter, 21, is scheduled to be sentenced in May and faces up to 20 years in prison. Gregory Rogers, who police say drove the getaway car, previously pled guilty to aiding and abetting the assault. (cedarspringspost)
  3. Four Star Theatre in Grand Rapids is one step closer to hosting events again. The Grand Rapids Planning Commission approved a 250-person capacity for Four Star Theatre on Thursday. The theater served as a concert venue, auditorium, and youth center before closing more than a decade ago. (WOODTV.com)
