Scott Shuptrine is Back in Grosse Pointe

After 20 Years, Scott Shuptrine Interiors Returns to Grosse Pointe June 26 Bringing Upscale Furniture and Design Services

Fine furniture and design are now more convenient to discriminating homeowners throughout southeastern Michigan. Luxury furniture retailer Scott Shuptrine Interiors opened its new gallery in Grosse Pointe (17145 Kercheval Street) Friday, June 26, 2015.

“Scott Shuptrine Interiors’ return home to Grosse Pointe is cause for celebration,” says Art Van Elslander. “It is an extraordinary feeling to bring this iconic luxury brand back to the city where it first opened its doors nearly a century ago. It will be an historic moment for homeowners here who appreciate fine furnishings, luxury and elegance.”

Founded in 1927, Scott-Shuptrine — originally with a hyphen — was located at 6615 E. Jefferson, opposite the former U.S. Rubber site where The Lofts and Wendy’s is located today, south of Grand Boulevard in Detroit. The company expanded to five stores, including the Grosse Pointe Farms store at 18850 Mack.
