Residents will be able to book simulator time or memberships with 24/7 access, plus enjoy a putting green and lounge, adding a third indoor golf option alongside Tulip City Golf and Holland Country Club.

• Holland's encompassKids making lasting impact in South Africa (bnd.com) — A Holland-based nonprofit, encompassKids, is quietly impacting thousands of vulnerable children and families in South Africa through adoption support, school mentoring, and domestic violence services. Rooted in Christ Memorial Church's early work there, the group now serves over 15,000 young people annually and has welcomed a new executive director whose own adoption story shapes his vision from right here in Holland.

• 'Even Year' Freshman Class Wins 2026 Annual Pull Competition (hope.edu) — Hope College's famed Pull tug-of-war returned to campus in Holland for its 129th year, with the freshman "Even Year" class of 2030 edging out the sophomores. The tradition drew students and alumni to Hope's riverside pits, continuing a rivalry that has now seen six straight Even Year victories and reinforcing a signature community event for Holland residents.
