Video helps Kalamazoo County deputies pinpoint exact time when family dog was shot (wwmt.com) — Kalamazoo County deputies are investigating after a family dog was fatally shot near the Gull Prairie Nature Preserve in Richland Township, using Ring camera audio and GPS collar data to pinpoint the time and location. The German Shepherd, Jax, returned home bleeding and later had to be put down, and authorities are now interviewing neighbors while reminding residents that killing a pet is a felony. Anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff's office or Silent Observer.
