1. 2 decades after double homicide, police continue to look for answers (wlns.com) — Lansing families are still seeking answers more than 20 years after Derrick Adams and Melinda Hobbs were found fatally stabbed in a Riverview Avenue home. As National Cold Case Awareness Month continues, Lansing police and Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with information to call 517‑483‑STOP, with anonymous tips potentially eligible for cash rewards.
   

2. Crime Stoppers: 3 crimes in the capital area (wlns.com) — Police are asking Lansing-area residents to help identify suspects in three recent crimes, including a burglary and arson at Best Furniture Outlet on West Saginaw Highway. Lansing police also seek tips on an attempted break-in on Terminal Road and a robbery and sexual assault on the city's north side, with anonymous callers eligible for rewards up to $1,000.
   

3. PTI workshop (michigan.gov) — Lansing businesses and consultants can get hands-on help with Michigan's Air Permit‑to‑Install application at an all-day workshop at EGLE's downtown headquarters. The session walks attendees through regulatory basics, MiEnviro Portal, and post‑submittal steps, with optional one‑on‑one Q&A and a clear cancellation deadline in November for refunds.
   

4. Rachelle Legrand (wnem.com) — A new face in Lansing media, Rachelle Legrand is the executive producer and host of The 517 Report, bringing a fresh perspective to local storytelling. With journalism and Africana Studies training plus a master's in TV, radio and film, she's shifting from theater and national media work to focus on Mid-Michigan communities.
   

5. Michigan State Police Launch New Cold Case Website (99wfmk.com) — Lansing-area residents can now browse Michigan State Police cold cases online and submit tips that might finally move stalled investigations forward. The new site highlights unsolved cases by district, including two from the First District, while MSU students in the Lansing area assist detectives in reexamining decades‑old homicides.
