📰 News we're reading
• Bikes & Trikes Wednesday Nights: Riding Together, Giving Back (lowellsfirstlook.com) — Each Wednesday night in season, riders gather at the Lowell Moose Lodge for Bikes & Trikes Wednesday Nights, a nonprofit that turns casual motorcycle rides into year-round help for local families. Though the 2026 riding season is over, the Lowell-based group continues organizing fundraisers, reviewing assistance requests, and inviting new volunteers from Lowell and nearby towns to pitch in through winter and beyond.

• Frankenmuth's rise headlines Week 6 Michigan prep volleyball rankings (mlive.com) — Lowell volleyball fans can celebrate as the Red Arrows climbed to No. 9 in Michigan's Division 1 rankings after a key win over Grand Haven. • Northland Drive reopens after crews build pedestrian tunnel (woodtv.com) — Work on the Grand River Greenway took a big step toward eventually linking trails to Lowell as crews finished a new pedestrian tunnel under Northland Drive in Plainfield Township. The $10 million, state-funded project will extend the South Rogue River Trail and, by next spring, move the region closer to a continuous nonmotorized route from Lake Michigan all the way to Lowell.
