The latest Lorenzo Cultural Center exhibit focuses on the 1950s, and today's presentation is "Rosa Parks: Next-Generation Civic Literacy." Here, Lila Cabbil, president emeritus, Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development, leads an interactive workshop for elementary school ages and up. The focus will be on the struggle for voting rights that black Americans faced in the 1950s and connects youth leadership of today with civic responsibility.
The lecture is free to attend, but call 586-445-7348 to make your reservation.
