MSU gives tips to help protect trees (wxyz.com) — Spotted lanternfly, an invasive pest already established in Macomb County, is continuing to spread across Michigan and threatens more than 70 plant species. Michigan State University experts explain how residents can build simple lampshade-style traps and are urging people in affected counties to kill and report any insects they see to help protect local trees and yards.
