UPDATE: Cause of House Fire on Bonaventure Still Under Investigation

Macomb County sheriff's fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the Friday morning fire that ripped through .

By noon Friday, the Macomb Township Fire Department had contained the blaze, but much of the roof and interior of the home had been destroyed.

Supervisor Mark Grabow said Monday that contrary to earlier reports, there was no one inside the home at the time of the fire. A firefighter who sustained minor injuries in the fire has been treated and released, he added.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the fire is still under investigation and no cause has been determined at this time.
