Police: Suspect Didn't Dress - At All - For Arrest
Suspect peeled off his clothing to hide evidence of assault on wife, authorities allege.

A Michigan man taken into police custody this week didn’t dress for the occasion – and by “dress for the occasion,” we really mean he didn’t dress at all.
Isabella County authorities said they had no choice but to take the man into custody wearing only his birthday suit earlier this week after a terrifying drive for his wife, who he allegedly assaulted.

The 56-year-old Rosebush man was riding in the back of the pickup, smashed the rear window, crawled through and assaulted his wife before taking control of the vehicle Tuesday, Michigan State Police said in a news release.
Troopers from the Mount Pleasant post of the Michigan State Police and Isabella County Sheriff’s Office responded to the frantic 911 call the man’s wife made during the harrowing drive, the Saginaw News reported.

After gaining control of the vehicle, the suspect allegedly drove to a residence in Isabella County, where police said a family member, who was also allegedly assaulted, attempted to intervene.
Authorities believe the man, whose name wasn’t released, shucked his clothes because they contained forensic evidence of the alleged assault, according to the news release.
“He refused multiple offers to clothe himself, and adamantly refused to cooperate,” the MSP said in the news release. “He refused to allow troopers to cover him so he was transported and lodged at the Isabella County Jail without them.”
The man was expected to be charged with domestic assault and malicious destruction of property.
