Enjoy Astronomy at the Beach at Kensington

Huron-Clinton Metroparks are holding their 15th Annual Astronomy at the Beach event on Sept. 9 and 10 at Maple Beach at Kensington Metropark.

Guests will view objects through telescopes and binoculars, watch a comet-making demonstration, visit a Starlab Planetarium, and kids will enjoy a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Those who arrive early will have an opportunity to view sun spots, and after dark they will be able to observe the moon, stars and more in the night sky through telescopes set up for public use on the beach, provided by astronomy club members (weather permitting).
