5 Things to Know This Week: Job Fair, Kindergarten Information Night

Here's what's happening in and around Oakland Township this week.

There is a lot going on this week. Here are some highlights:

  1. Meetings: There is an Oakland Township Board of Trustees meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at . Budgets, property acquisition, final plat approval for Kingsridge and a Memorial Day parade request highlight agenda items for the meeting.
  2. Weather: According to the National Weather Service, there is an 80 percent chance of snow Monday night, with less than 1 inch of accumulation forecasted. A possibility of snow showers will continue through the week, with a rain and snow mix possible Thursday. High temperatures for the week are expected to be in the mid- to high 30s, with lows dipping to low to mid-20s.
  3. : will host a kindergarten information night at 7 p.m. Monday at . Parents of children entering kindergarten next school year are invited to attend the event in the auditorium of the high school.
