February is American Heart Month and for thirty years the Paint Creek Trail has been offering local residents a safe and inexpensive environment for including physical activity in their lives. Founded in 1983, with the purchase of the
Penn Central Railroad Right of Way by the Paint Creek Trailways Commission, the trail offers year round opportunities for heart healthy exercise like walking,
jogging, biking and cross country skiing. The 8.9 mile limestone trail connects Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Orion Township and the Village of Lake Orion.
