Oakland Township Seeks Historic District Commission Member

The Charter Township of Oakland is seeking the assistance of an architect, historian, or archaeologist with an interest in historic structures to serve on the Township’s Historic District Commission.  Oakland Township residents who are interested in the preservation, protection and promotion of the Township’s historic resources will meet monthly with like minded citizens.  The Historic District Commission investigates requests for establishing or changing Historic Districts, and maintains a list of potential districts and guides homeowners in planned work on resources.  For further information contact Historic Preservation Programmer, Barbara Barber at bbarber@oaklandtownship.org or call 248-608-6807.
