Enjoy a scenic 10K or 5K run or 5K walk in Stony Creek Metropark to further the cause of adult literacy education. This is a combined fundraiser for Oakland Literacy Council and Macomb Literacy Partners, which have provided free adult literacy tutoring since 1984. Please see the Run2Read website (www.r2read.com) for details on park entry fees, park policy, course map and registration, or phone the OLC at 248-253-1617. This is a chip-timed event. Free T-shirts are guaranteed for all early registrants (up to May 14), and prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K races. Routes include wooded trails, hills, and uneven terrain.
