Anxious Tigers Fans Breathe Sigh of Relief with Win Over Yankees
Tigers fans watching Thursday's game at Buffalo Wild Wings in Lake Orion were a little worried.
Dozens of Detroit Tigers fans were watching as the Tigers beat the New York Yankees on Thursday night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Lake Orion.
Tension in the bar grew late in the game when the score was 3-2 Tigers. It didn't lessen until the last play of the game, when the Tigers' fate was sealed: They would be moving on to the second round of the MLB playoffs.
Reactions during the 8th inning:
"I'm a nervous wreck," said Gary Caldwell, 42, of Lake Orion. "This game is killing me. My heart can't handle it."

"I'm nervous as hell," Jeff Becker, 38, of Lake Orion said.
"I was nervous six weeks ago," Jeremy Clemens, 38, of Lake Orion, said. "If they lose tonight I'm moving back to Pittsburgh."

Reactions after the Tigers won the game
"It's exhilarating. A beautiful win for Detroit," said Tigers fan Valentino Shepard, 30, of Los Angeles who was visiting Lake Orion for a wedding.
"I'm very excited we won," said Pete Taylor, 32, of Madison Heights. "I had reservations when we began, but it's a thrilling win.
"I was at the Monday and Tuesday games at Comerica Park. After the last game the crowd was completely out of it; I didn't think they'd (the Tigers) be up for it."
"We like it!" Oakland University student Jon Muxlow, 22, of Brown City said.
