Former U.S. Army Captain and New York Times bestselling author Luis Carlos Montalván will discuss his experiences with life after war and how “Tuesday,” his loyal service dog, saved him at the Orion Township Public Library on Thursday, November 20 at 6:30p. Montalván, who served 17 years, including multiple combat tours, honorably departed the military as a result of physical and psychological wounds sustained. Copies of their inspirational memoir and their new widely acclaimed children’s book will be available for purchase and signing immediately following the presentation. Program funding in part by the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Friends of the Orion Township Public Library.
