Baker College’s Auburn Hills campus celebrates graduates June 16

About 350 graduates will be recognized, including those who earned degrees via Baker College Online/Grad Studies.

Baker College's Auburn Hills campus will acknowledge approximately 350 graduates at commencement ceremonies Friday, June 16, 7 p.m., at The Apostolic Church, 3655 N. Squirrel Road, Auburn Hills. The event also includes students who are earning degrees from Baker College Online/Graduate Studies.

“It is with great honor that we present the 2017 class of Baker College of Auburn Hills graduates,” said Peter W. Karsten, Ph.D., CPA, Baker College of Auburn Hills president. “We’re proud that they chose Baker College to prepare them to fulfill their goals as so many others have done since the college was founded in 1911.”

The student speaker at the commencement ceremony is Jervonta Knowles, of Pontiac, who will earn an MBA in general business. He works full time as career services coordinator for Baker College of Auburn Hills.

Outstanding graduates to be recognized for the following programs are:

  • Business administration - Elizabeth Lopez, of Waterford, paralegal associate degree.
  • Technology - Ana Mancina, of New Baltimore, interior design associate degree.
  • Human services - Mallory Wright, of Highland, human services bachelor’s degree.
  • Health science - Michelle Osipoff, of Sterling Heights, respiratory care associate degree.
  • Education - Ashley Garrett, of Oxford, education bachelor’s degree.

The recipients were selected based on overall academic standing, demonstrated leadership, excellence in and outside of the classroom, and professional attitude.
