Improving Joint Health in 3 Easy Steps
Here are three tips for managing joint pain and maintaining joint health.
Joint pain is an issue many Americans deal with on a regular basis. It is not just the elderly feeling the effects. Joint pain is not prejudice to age, gender, occupation, or nationality. Simply put, if you don’t take care of your joints, you may end up with pain. The levels of pain vary. Some pain is so intense that the person cannot use the joint until the pain is alleviated. Other pain is just a dull ache that feels like it never goes away. All pain can be reduced using these three easy steps.
Exercise-A combination of aerobic exercise and strength training has shown in several studies to reduce pain in joints over time. Exercise strengthens bones, tendons, and ligaments and increases the synovial fluid in the joint. Start slowly, with 20-30 minutes twice a week. Progress slowly as well. If you are unsure of where to start, hire a certified professional to design and teach you a program.
Eat Healthy-A healthy, well rounded diet can help reduce inflammation in joints as well. Be sure to get 3-4 servings of vegetables. In addition, a healthy diet improves the effects of exercise.

Supplement-People frown upon supplements because they know so little about them. However, there are several name brand supplements that have been peer reviewed and proven to improve joint health. The only thing you need to remember about supplements is that they are not meant to replace proper nutrition, but help you get the needed-nutrients that your diet doesn’t always included.
Using these three steps, you can improve not only your joint health, but your overall health as well. You should consult your physician before starting and diet or exercise plan.
