Lake Orion High School teacher, Roger Smith, is in the running to win Specs Howard School of Media Arts "Media Educator of the Year" award. Students nominate outstanding teachers for the prestigious media award. Smith is a nominee for his teaching efforts in broadcasting and video production, specifically the Television Production Workshop (TPW) class. "I'm not really interested in the title, but I am interested in the award," Smith said. "A MacBook Pro, which would be used by current and future TPW students!" The TPW students recently attended the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association Spring Conference in Lansing. They brought home the Spartan, the conference's highest award. Help Mr. Smith win the title and Lake Orion High School students improve their classroom supply. Vote once per day per computer for the next two weeks.
