ZUMBA and Introductions!
Wanna get fit, but don't like normal exercising routines? Welcome to my life. Try Zumba! There are TONS of places in the area that offer classes. All you need to do is look for 'em.

Hey all! Before I dive into this post, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Taylor, I'm a junior at Michigan State University studying television and media, and I have my own website (http://everydaybytay.com) where I blog nearly everyday.
I am very excited, because ust recently I got invited to blog here on this WONDERFUL Patch site (yayyy!). Some of my blogs between the two sites will be the same, and some will be different, so I encourage you to check out both!
Anyway: Zumba is my new obsession that is totally kicking my almost-20-year-old butt into shape. And if you know me, you know that I’m not much for exercising. But I actually WANT to go to Zumba class. Ha.

For those of who don’t know what it is: Zumba is a kind of Latin jazzercize workout. I was feeling a little restless this summer and my mom and I decided that it would be a good idea to take a dance class together. And yeah, like most community offered dance/exercise classes, I am the only person under 30 enrolled–including the instructor. Hahaha.
Anyway, my mom was absent today (she’s up in Traverse City hanging out with HER mom) so I, begrudgingly, had to go alone. And although at the beginning it felt like a middle school dance (girls stuck to the sides of the gym like flies to flypaper) there is nothing that will make me NOT like Zumba.

But really, you should give Zumba a try! There are TONS of places in the area that offer classes, and to search for them click here. And if you have tried Zumba: comment and tell me what you love/hate about it. It might come in handy, as I'm seriously thinking of becoming an instructor. Ha.
