Why a Sub-Area Plan?

The 2005 Oakland Township Master Plan called for the perpetuation of Goodison as the township’s focal point and included general land use recommendations. Now, the Township is embarking on a concentrated planning effort focused solely on Goodison. A Sub-Area Plan is helpful because Goodison is distinct from the areas that surround it, and because it will allow the community to center its attention on that distinction and to define its future.
