175th Anniversary Downtown Jubilee

Downtown Romeo will come alive with the excitement of a historically focused street fair on May 18th. The day’s festivities will be concentrated on Main Street, north of Saint Clair, from Rawles Street on the West to Bailey Street on the East.

Exhibits depicting Romeo’s illustrious history will be on display in and around the Village Park. Throughout the day, musicians will perform music from various eras in the Village Park Gazebo while Civil War reenactors stage demonstrations.

Up to sixty-five artists, crafters and vendors will showcase their wares in the Main Street Bazaar between Saint Clair and Newerry Streets.

Main Street from Newberry to Church Streets will play host to Kids' Zone an area of old-fashioned, family-friendly fun for kids of all ages. There are many activities planned for this area including arts & crafts, games, petting zoo, inflatables, various contests, face painting and FREE balloon sculptures from WOWIE! The Clown.

In the municipal parking lot in front of Uptown Buscemi’s, festival-goers will be able to select from a wide variety of foods provided by The Food Trucks, enjoy an adult beverage in the beer tent and watch performances on the main entertainment stage throughout the day until 6:00pm.

We have some awesome entertainment planned including local favorite, country music singer-songwriter, Austin Scott with the Detroit Cowboy Association and The Rusty Wright Band, a smokin’ hot blues and southern rock band from Flint, MI. Additional acts to both the main stage and Village Park Gazebo are being added regularly.  Visit our website for details and ongoing updates.
