Lake Orion Optimist Club Oratorical Contest

Topic: "Why My Voice is Important"

Who: High school students under the age of 19 who have not yet graduated from high school or the equivalent and who are educated in the United States, Canada or the Caribbean.

How to Enter: Interested students submit

1) Application

2) Copy of Birth Certificate

3) Copy of the speech on the pre-assigned topic

When: All above items must be postmarked by April 5^th, 2013 or hand delivered by April 8^th. 

There will be three (3) designated winners: 1^st place - $150.00, 2^nd place - $100 & 3^rd place - $50.00 cash prizes and the overall winner will be  entered into the Optimist International Michigan District level contest for a chance to win a $2500 college scholarship.

The deadline for all entries is Monday, April 8^th, 2013. The Oratorical Presentations will occur at the Lake Orion High School Kiva on April 15^th at 7:00pm.
