Our speaker this evening will be Mr. Azhar Majeed. Associate Directory of Legal and Public Advocacy for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). FIRE's mission is to defend and sustain individual rights - freedom of speedh, legal equality, due process, religeous liberty, etc - on American college and university campuses. FIRE protects otherwise unprotected students and educates the public about threats to their rights and suggests the means to preserve these rights. Mr. Majeed will discuss examples of FIRE activities (including a recent action at Michigan State University) and time will be allowed for question-and-answer participation from the attendees.
