Hamsa Yoga invites
public to learn more about Common Ground / enjoy a free yoga class on July 27!
Being healthy is about balancing our minds, bodies and spirit… this
presentation ties those things together through yoga, healthy food and a
presentation about the importance of mental health.
On Saturday, July 27th at 1pm, Hamsa Yoga in
downtown Lake Orion at 24 N. Broadway St., will host a special presentation
about how Common Ground helps people move from crisis to hope. This presentation follows a free community
yoga class (suitable for all yoga levels) from 11:15am-12:30pm, with the
opportunity to sample some homemade vegan fare.

Alan Haras, owner of Hamsa Yoga, is happy to welcome
community members to this event. Alan
attended a Crisis to Hope presentation earlier this year and was moved by the
speakers, stating “the stories shared by staff and clients showed that Common Ground
treats people with dignity, focusing on their value and self-worth. I want to
help spread the word about the importance of this organization, it is a message
that everyone needs to hear.” Alan’s wife,
Rita Patel, is a wellness strategist and board member at Common Ground who
helped organize the event, which will give guests the opportunity to visit this
unique yoga center, connect with other caring community members and hear some
inspirational stories to get a better vision of Common Ground’s impact.
Common Ground has been serving Oakland County and
surrounding areas for more than 40 years in a caring compassionate way and most
programs are free. The 24 hour crisis
and resource helpline (800-231-1127) is well known but there are many other
supports available to youth, families and adults in the community… this program
will shed some light on them. For more
information, visit www.commongroundhelps.org or call Hamsa Yoga at 248-814-8522.
