Students age 10 and up are invited to sign up for a two-day Hunting Safety Course at the Orion Township Public Library on Monday, August 14 and Tuesday, August 15 from 10:00a to 4:00p. Participants will learn responsible behavior, safe gun skills, and gun handling with respect to the sport of hunting. This course does not contain live fire training. Students will have a written exam and firearm handling exercise, and will receive a DNR Hunter Education Card upon successful completion of the classes.
Each participant will need to pick up a free Today's Hunter Manual available at the Orion Library located at 825 Joslyn Road in Lake Orion. The Parent/Guardian Agreement and all chapter review must be completed by the first class. Register online at orionlibrary.org/calendar.
