I had the pleasure of teaching an exercise class at a local dance studio yesterday. There's something magical about a true athlete; they are hard wired for competitiveness and determination. We tried to make the human caterpillar at least 10 times with collapse after collapse. They looked worn out, so I suggested we stop and be proud of what we did accomplish. Nope. They responded with instant denial and continued over and over again until they did it. It's awesome to see such deep determination in kids; watching them refuse to give into failure was epic. It's a character trait in every successful adult I know. Great job kiddos!!!
