It’s Official! We’re Now Covering Lake Orion and Orion Township, Too
There is plenty to share about these three communities, and we hope you'll help us spread the good news.

Welcome to the Oakland Township-Lake Orion Patch!
If you’ve been one of our valued Oakland Township Patch readers, don’t worry: We will still be covering Oakland Township – we are just expanding our coverage area to include Lake Orion and Orion Township. So often we've found that community stories in one town are of interest to residents of the other, so it seems easier to have it in one place – right here on what is now officially the Oakland Township-Lake Orion Patch.
On the other hand, if you’re a new reader wondering what Patch is, it’s a hyperlocal website for news, information and community, covering everything from school news to township and village board meetings. We will spotlight businesses, community members, sporting events and everything our readers have an interest in.
Along with providing content to our readers, we ask our readers to share their own events and announcements. We also offer our readers an extensive community and business directory called Patch Places.

Prior to becoming the Oakland Township-Lake Orion Patch, we focused on Oakland Township residents, businesses and issues. Many Oakland Township residents send their children to Lake Orion Community Schools; we have already been covering Lake Orion schools, sports and some community issues.
Here’s a look at Lake Orion events, meetings and people we have covered in the past:
