Lake Orion Event Aims to Recycle Hard-to-Recycle Items

Lake Orion Recycling Event Aims to Collect Hard-To-Recycle Items.

Drop off hard-to-recycle items next to the Lake Orion Farmers Market on September 11, 2013. The purpose of the free event is to remove the barriers to recycling. Recycling Sisters is providing free recycling to residents and businesses for Hard-to-Recycle items. Not everything is trash, some household items are difficult to recycle and that is why they end up in the landfill.

Hard-to-Recycle Items include computers, electronics, bulky metal items, appliances, anything with a plug (except televisions and tube monitors), and batteries (laptop to truck).

Thanks to our kind friends at the United Methodist Church of Lake Orion (www.lakeorionumc.org ), you can drop off your Hard to Recycle items for collection in the parking lot of their Fellowship Hall, located on Anderson Street between Flint and Front streets. Drop-off collection will be during market hours, between 2pm and 7pm on September 11th, 2013.

Tell your family, friends and neighbors to clean out the basement and garage and let Recycling Sisters tackle the hard to get rid of stuff! Use social media or emails to get the word out. Please call the Recycling Sisters at 248-240-4899 to schedule a free pick-up of appliances or if you have a large quantities of items. Thank you for supporting recycling in your community
